When one thinks of Designer shoes, companies like Nike and Reebok usually don't come to mind. As shoe designs evolve, we will start to see a lot more shoes that can fit the part of being very athletic yet fashionable at the same time.
First we have to define what we mean when we say "designer shoe", because many people have different opinions on what that phrase means to them. Most people would probably agree that there are multiple things one needs to consider when deciding whether or not a shoe is designer.
The first aspect of something being designer is whether or not it has a logo from a very recognizable or even household named fashion designer. Some examples are brands like Gucci, Versache, and Prada. The second aspect of determining if a item of clothing is designer or not is of course, does it look good? The piece of clothing has to look fashionable regardless of the brand who designed it. This is an interesting point because one must also consider the fact that a lot of popular fashion designers are the ones who dictate what looks good or what doesn't look good.
Now on the other end of the spectrum we have Air Max Shoes. Air Max Shoes are most usually recognized by a lot of rubber, plastic, cotton and similar materials. The shoes often look very sleek and have a very utilitarian rubber sole.
Fashion designers like Gucci have designed air max 2009 in the past but the question we have to ask ourselves is, "are these shoes truly athletic shoes?" Even these shoes can perform and stand up to the best Nike Cheap Nike Air Max, is there also a price factor involved?
In the end its something that is completely up to the individual. Media and marketing can have a definite impact on what a person thinks, but at this point we haven't really seen a successful athletic shoe come from a major fashion designer like Gucci.
